Convert AI coding rules between every major tool
Move your rules between AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf and GEMINI.md. Drop a folder, pick a target, and get files in the right paths, plus a report of anything that could not be carried over exactly.
Input
Everything runs in your browser. Files are never uploaded.
Output
Converted files appear here. Conversion report
How it works
- Add your rules. Paste one file, or drop a whole repository. Only rule files are read;
node_modulesand other folders are skipped. - Pick a target. The source format is detected from file paths and frontmatter. Each target writes to the paths its tool documents.
- Check the report. Every rule is marked kept, adapted or dropped, so you know what changed before you commit.
Popular conversions
- Cursor rules → CLAUDE.md Move from Cursor to Claude Code and keep file-scoped rules scoped.
- Cursor rules → AGENTS.md One open-format file that most coding agents read.
- CLAUDE.md ↔ AGENTS.md Share one instructions file between Claude Code and other agents.
- .cursorrules → .mdc Migrate the legacy single file to Cursor project rules.
- Cursor rules → Copilot copilot-instructions.md plus path-specific applyTo files.
- Cursor rules → Windsurf All four Cursor rule types map to Windsurf triggers.

Why a conversion report matters
Copying a rules file from one tool to another usually works for plain instructions and quietly breaks everything else. A Cursor rule with
globs: src/components/**/*.tsx only loads for component files; pasted into a single AGENTS.md it suddenly applies to the whole repository.
A rule that Cursor's agent pulls in only when relevant becomes a permanent instruction.
AI Rule Morph keeps scoping wherever the target supports it (Claude Code's .claude/rules paths, Copilot's applyTo,
Windsurf's trigger) and tells you exactly where it could not.
Frequently asked questions
Which formats can I convert?
AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md and .claude/rules (Claude Code), Cursor .mdc rules, GitHub Copilot instructions, Windsurf / Devin Desktop rules and GEMINI.md, in any direction. Legacy .cursorrules and .windsurfrules files can be read and migrated.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The converter runs entirely in your browser. Files you paste or drop never leave your device.
Why do some rules show as “adapted” or “dropped”?
Tools scope rules differently. Cursor can attach a rule to file globs or let the agent decide from a description; a single AGENTS.md cannot. When the target has no equivalent, the rule is rewritten as a note or left out, and the report tells you which.
Is it free?
Yes, the converter and generators are free to use.
